E-ESPOIR

E-ESPOIR is an international project between France-Portugal. It promotes a multidisciplinary group of researchers in medicine and computer science with the common purpose of improving and centralizing data of handicap evaluation from a computing net tool.

Main challenges

  • Integration of handicap self-evaluation and professional evaluation into a single tool.
  • Common scale of degree of handicap between countries and areas of medical specialization.
  • Data sharing to increase the efficiency and quality of medical care.

LISLING

LISLING is a multimedia program for the treatment of aphasia. This interactive 3D game is designed to evaluate and improve patient performance through multimodal exercises, training the production and comprehension of spoken and written language.

  • Designing a realistic 3D virtual environment.
  • Intuitive and affordable control interface to make the system usable by all population groups.
