Keynote Speakers
| Juan Carlos Augusto (Ph.D., 1998) has contributed
to the research community with 115 publications. During the last 7 years
he has been focused on helping to develop the area of Intelligent Environments
and most of his output relates to this area. The latest edited volume
being the Handbook on Ambient Intelligence and Smart Environments (Springer, 2009).
He has given invited keynotes and tutorials at various international events.
He has co-chaired numerous events (workshops and conferences) on Ambient Intelligence
related topics (the latest one is ISAMI'10). He is the Editor in Chief for
the Book Series on Ambient Intelligence and Smart Environments and co-Editor in Chief
for the Journal on Ambient Intelligence and Smart Environments (JAISE), both published
by IOS Press.

| Benoit Montreuil holds a Ph.D. (1982) in Industrial Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology (Atlanta, U.S.A.). After being on the industrial engineering faculty of UQTR and Purdue University, since 1988 he is professor of operations and decisions systems in the faculty of administration sciences at Université
Laval in Quebec City, Canada. He holds the Canada
Research Chair in Enterprise Engineering and the the
NSERC-Bell-Cisco Research Chair in Business Design.
He is a founding member of the CIRRELT
Interuniversity Research Centre on Enterprise
Networks, Logistics and Transportation. His main
research interests lie in developing concepts,
methodologies and technologies for creating,
transforming and enabling businesses and value
creation networks to thrive in thrive in a fast
evolving world. He has extensive advisory,
entrepreneurial and collaborative research
experience with industry.
