PRO-VE 2000 Managing Cooperation in Virtual Organizations
and Electronic Business
1. General Information Participants are kindly requested to register for the conference before July 25, 2000 using the registration form on the PRO-VE’2000 homepage. Conference Fees (including proceedings book and general conference materials, coffee breaks, 2 lunches, and conference dinner): Early registration by July 25, 2000: Authors US$ 380,00 Early registration by September 30, 2000: Reduced fee** US$ 65,00 Late Registration and on-site registration: Participant US$ 430,00 Reduced fee** US$ 75,00 Accompanying person (dinner ticket): US$ 25.00. ** The reduced registration fee applies to undergraduate students. Students must provide a copy of their Student ID Card or a letter of confirmation from their institution. The conference dinner and the proceedings book are not included in the reduced conference fee, but may be booked on-site.
2. 3. Payment Payment can be made either by VISA credit card (only) or by bank transfer (all bank charges regarding the transfer have to be paid by the participant). For bank transfer please mail or fax (see address and numbers in the registration procedure topic) a copy of the money transfer document together with the completed registration form. Following the Brazilian legislation, you must also authorize the debt in your credit card (if you have chosen this payment option).
4. Cancellation Cancellation of authors will not be refunded. To the other participants a fee of US$ 75,00 will be charged if cancellation is made before October 15, 2000. After that date no refunds will be made.
5. Accommodation The conference will be held at the Praiatur Hotel, a four star beach hotel. The rooms contain private WC, cable TV, environment sound, air conditioning, and refrigerator. The hotel has free Internet connection for the guests and is environmentally correct.
Ingleses beach & Florianópolis Praiatur Hotel is located on the north of Florianópolis Island, in Ingleses (English men) beach, distant 50 meters from the sea. It is an excellent infrastructure beach, distant 34 km from downtown and 42 km from Hercilio Luz Airport. Ingleses beach used to be a fishermen village and now it has become one of the most important tourist beaches of Florianopolis, with a number of restaurants, small shops, and nightlife. Praiatur also has a rustic annex. It is a Leisure Yard Area of 250.000 squares meters including a soccer and a volleyball field as well as fishing lake boats and offering ecological walks and horse riding.
A special rate will be applied to the PRO-VE 2000 participants which includes breakfast and taxes. SINGLE ROOM US$ 45,00 DOUBLE ROOM US$ 56,00 Since December is Summer time, Praiatur hotel can only guarantee the reservations made until October 15, 2000. Please use the hotel accommodation form to mail or fax your request and do not forget to mention the Conference acronym (PROVE2000). Besides that, following the Brazilian legislation, you must also authorize the debt in your VISA credit card (if you have chosen this payment option). In spite of the hotel requires VISA credit card for early reservation, you can use most of the international credit card in Praiatur, Ingleses Beach, Florianopolis and Brazil.
6. Transportation For those who will come both by plane (airport) and bus (central bus station), a special bus shuttle can be requested. It is up to the participants to make their reservation with the transportation service. 7. Brazilian Air Pass VARIG Airlines, the biggest Brazilian air company, has an attractive kind of ticket for those who intend to spend some more days in Brazil. It is called "Air Pass". It CANNOT be bought in Brazil as it is valid for foreign people ONLY (and also for non-residents Brazilian people). TRANSBRASIL and VASP have similar options. The Brazilian Air Pass allows you to travel to five cities in Brazil within the period of 30 days, considering that your arrival and departure city must be either Sao Paulo or Rio de Janeiro.
