SCOPE


The development of open infrastructures to support Virtual Enterprises is attracting an increasing research effort worldwide. An extensive number of initiatives, namely in terms of international collaborative projects, have been launched and some preliminary results are becoming available. In this context, the goals of this workshop are twofold: first to increase the awareness of SMEs on this new paradigm, and second to compare experiences and approaches of different research projects.

PROCEEDINGS


A book on infrastructures for VE will be edited in time for this event and will include two parts:
(1) A "kind of text book" on VE (by invited authors).
(2) Contributed papers.
Although this initiative was started by the PRODNET II project consortium, few other selected projects will be invited to contribute in order to cover a comprehensive overview of approaches and solutions.
The proceedings book, published by Kluwer Academic Publisher, is available.
