After a first Conference in 1994 held in Dresden (Germany), as a joint initiative of several EC Information Technology Building Projects, the second Conference was held in Watford (UK) in 1998.
Due to success of these two first events it was immediately decided to organize the third in this Conference series, now with an interval of two years instead of the previous four years, and to extend its scope to all building related industries, e.g. architecture, furniture, etc.
By bringing together a very significant number of experts on the building construction modeling area, this conference is already an important forum of dissemination for new ideas and developments in its scientific and industrial field, significantly contributing to the improvement of the technology transfer from the research and development world to the industry.
