Short CV:

César Garita obtained a Bachelors degree in Software Engineering and a Masters degree in Computer Science from the Costa Rican Institute of Technology (ITCR), as well as a Ph.D. degree in Computer Science from the University of Amsterdam (UvA) in the Netherlands. The main subject of his Ph.D. thesis is the analysis, design and implementation of a Federated Information Management System for the support of Virtual Enterprise collaborations, focusing on Small and Medium Enterprises in the industrial manufacturing sector. Furthermore, he has been involved in several Dutch National and European research and development projects. Currently, he has a postdoctoral research position within the Computer Science department of UvA.
