Scope

The purpose of the Second International Conference on Power Engineering, Energy and Electrical Drives, POWERENG, is to bring together researchers, engineers and practitioners from all over the world, interested in the advances of power systems (energy and electrical drives).

Papers describing original work are invited in any of the scientific areas of the conference.
Papers describing advanced prototypes, systems, tools and techniques and general survey papers indicating future directions are also encouraged. There will be both oral and poster sessions.

There will be several invited keynote speakers.

Authors with experimental prototypes are encouraged to bring them along to demonstrate their performance. An exhibition area, with technical facilities, will be considered.

Prospective authors are invited to submit their manuscripts in the form of full papers allotted 6 Proceedings pages.

Conference Areas

1. Power Generation, Transmission and Distribution.
2. Power Electronics, Systems and Applications.
3. Electrical Machines and Adjustable Speed Drives.
4. Renewable Energy Sources and Technology.
5. Education.

Venue

The Conference will be held in Lisbon, at Hotel Costa da Caparica. Lisbon, the capital of Portugal with a population of one million inhabitants, is a modern city, which has a lot to offer both in terms of history, culture and social life. It stands on the westernmost point of land of the European continent, where the Tagus river flows into the Atlantic Ocean. Its Atlantic climate, with some Mediterranean influences, is probably the mildest of all European capitals.
