----------------------------------------------------------------------- CALL FOR PAPERS ----------------------------------------------------------------------- ETFA'2003 9th IEEE International Conference on Emerging Technologies and Factory Automation September 16-19, 2003, Lisbon, Portugal http://www.uninova.pt/etfa2003/ Track on Information Technology in Enterprise Integration The Information Technology is a critical core element of the infrastructure of any modern enterprise. From the users’ perspective, IT is represented by a large variety of tools, ranging from the generic office tools to specialized engineering, production planning, management decision support tools, or even large applications covering a wide spectrum of functions, such as the ERP systems. Guaranteeing the interoperation among these tools, or at least the necessary level of information exchange, is still a major challenge in enterprise integration. In addition to the intra-enterprise integration, the scope of the problem is enlarged with the new emerging organizational paradigms such as virtual enterprises and other forms of collaborative networked organizations. This track aims at attracting innovative approaches and case studies on intra- and inter-enterprise integration. Some suggested topics: - Data base technologies - Middleware, Data Mining - Data Warehouses - Decision Support Systems (DSS) - Executive Information Systems (EIS) - Manufacturing Execution Systems - Enterprise Resource Planning - Supply Chain Management - Enterprise Application Integration - Internet, e-commerce, e-business, etc. ----------------------------------------------------------------------- SUBMISSION OF PAPERS Papers are to be submitted electronically.
