------------------------------------------------------------------ CALL FOR PAPERS ------------------------------------------------------------------ 9th IEEE International Conference on Emerging Technologies and Factory Automation; September 16-19, 2003, Lisbon, Portugal TRACK on Intelligent Robots and Systems ------------------------------------------------------------------ Conference web site: http://www.uninova.pt/etfa2003 ------------------------------------------------------------------ Scope. Intelligent robots and intelligent embedded systems are spreading from the factory floor to human leaving environments, such as museums, hospitals and homes. These new generation robotic systems promise to revolutionize the relation between people and technology. This ETFA'2003 track on Intelligent Robots and Systems aims to gather researchers reporting recent results in the development of robots actually deployed for real-world applications, robot prototypes, intelligent embedded systems, applications of artificial intelligence, cognitive science and signal processing in robotics, and usability studies. Researchers are especially encouraged to submit papers emphasizing the integration of different robotic capabilities in a single robotic system. Therefore, the topics of the track include: - intelligent robot assistants - intelligent embedded systems - perception, control and manipulation for intelligent robots and systems - reasoning under uncertainty - planning and failure recovery - robot learning - human-robot interaction - robot vision - natural language grounding - integrated intelligence - cognitive robotics - usability studies ------------------------------------------------------------------ SUBMISSION OF PAPERS Papers are to be submitted electronically. For further details, please consult the conference web pages.
