Solicited Papers:
Research Papers; reporting on new developments in
technological sciences. All submissions should clearly indicate the novelty of
the contribution reported. The work should be put in the perspective of the work
of others. The main development description should adhere to scientific
standards: i.e., using scientific notation, semi/formal description, etc. The
results presented should be validated.
Industry and Development Papers; reporting on actual
developments of technology, products, systems, and solutions. The topics
presented should be within the scope of the conference technical program
outlined in the call for papers. The presentation should focus on scientific
and/or technological aspects. The advertising and sales pitch should be avoided.
Tutorial and Survey Papers. The ETFA'03 conference solicits
comprehensive, in-depth review, tutorial and survey papers written for
technically knowledgeable readers who are not necessarily specialists in the
subjects being treated. Applications and technological issues, as well as
theory, are emphasized. Subject to quality, the selected papers will be allotted
extended time for presentation, up to one hour.
Submission of Papers: The working language of the
conference is English. Three types of submissions are solicited. Long Papers -
limited to 8 double column pages. Work-in-Progress Papers - limited to 4 double column pages.
Industrial practice - limited to 8 double column pages.
Manuscripts must be submitted electronically in PDF or zipped
PDF format.
Paper Acceptance: Each accepted paper must be
presented at the conference by one of the authors. Detailed instructions for
camera-ready paper preparation will be provided to authors. The final manuscript
must be accompanied by a registration form and a registration fee payment proof.
All conference attendees, including authors and session chairpersons, must pay
the conference registration fee, and their travel expenses.
