Abstract: The purpose of these instructions is to standardize the format of the posters presented to the CIMED2005.

A well-cared and organized poster is a powerful mean of communication, allowing authors and participants to discuss in depth or superficially each part of the work presented according to each person interests. A poster should not be a mere reproduction of the written paper.
The official language is English.

There must be an abstract and conclusions.

The posters should be placed 10 minutes before the corresponding poster session and shall remain in their places until the end of the session. One of the authors should remain by the poster during the major part of the session and be prepared to give a short 5min presentation to the audience.
The posters should be removed shortly after the end of the session. Before each session, the authors are advised to contact the Chairman of their session to introduce themselves and to listen to any final recommendation.

Dimensions (sizes)
The poster board area is of around 0.9m wide by 1.40m height and will be at 0.5m of the floor. The posters size should be A0 (0,85 m x 1,20 m) in vertical (portrait) format. If you need some extra space you can use up to all the board size for your poster (0.9 m wide by 1.40 m height).

With the exception of the title, authors and affiliation that should be printed in black you can use colours to make your poster more attractive and legible.
The following styles and sizes are suggested (the sizes regard capital letters):
• Title: 20 to 40 mm height, bold, centred.
• Name of Author(s): 9 to 20 mm height, bold, centred.
• Institution, address and e- mail: 9 to 20 mm height.
• Body text: 9 to 20 mm height.
